The Rite of Christion Initiation of Adults (RCIA)
Sacraments of Baptism, Eucharist and Confirmation

The RCIA is the preparation process set up by the Church to bring people into the Catholic faith. It includes  prayer, study, and discussion; all of which are designed to bring one to the point of asking for the Sacraments of Initiation (Baptism, Eucharist, Confirmation).

Are you thinking of, or do you know anybody interested to become Catholic and receive the sacraments of Christian Initiation (Baptism, Eucharist and Confirmation)?

Each year, many adults are called to join the Catholic faith. How does someone join the Catholic Church? Through a process called the RCIA (Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults). Who can join?

The Church extends an invitation to all who wish to become members of the Catholic faith. Those who go through the RCIA process fall under one of the following categories:
 

• Someone who is of another faith (or no faith) and wishes to convert to Catholicism
• An individual who was baptized in another Christian denomination and wishes to become a member of the Catholic faith
• Someone who was baptized in the Catholic Church, but never received the sacraments of First Holy Communion and Confirmation
